PITCH DOCUMENT: WALK THROUGH
I've had a couple of drafts and versions of the five-minute walk through. This one here has come across best to family and friends. I don’t think I’ll be changing this any time soon; its short, effective and most importantly, it perfectly conveys the feel and mood of the game I'm designing. Considering this will be one of the first pages of the pitch document I am proud of it (besides some grammar errors I literally just noticed).
However there is an issue - a five-minute walk through is supposed to reflect what the player does in game to translate how the game plays to publishers. For example, he/ she would the press "A" button to jump over the box, whereas I present the set piece as more of a story rather than an actual walk through of the game. This is a clear error due to my constant need to tell a story. Although this is an issue, I still believe this page translates the game across well - maybe the document could have both versions of this page?
Currently I am working on the "Concept Art" page. My sheer lack of drawing skills has clearly set me back but it should be completed within the month whilst I also work on the "Key Features" page. Also I need to place a page number on the five-minute walk through which again, I have only just realised.
